Quick to write, easy to find

No folder to pick, no title to think up. Douya records when and where each note came from, so search and AI can bring it back later.

WRITE

One shortcut, then type

Open the panel from any app; hide it and it’s saved. Selected text, screenshots and web pages go in with one shortcut too, with their source noted.

FIND

Find anything

Keyword search across 10,000 notes in milliseconds. Can’t remember the words? Ask, and it searches by meaning. History is organized by day, and to-dos are gathered in one place.

BLOCKS

More than text

Images (with searchable text inside), voice notes transcribed on your Mac, sketches you draw right in place, and flowcharts — all inside the note.

AI

Your AI, your call

Pull out key points, find to-dos, draw a flowchart, ask about all your notes. Use Douya AI with no key to set up, or your own key, sent straight to the provider. Any note can be kept from AI.

TOGETHER

Write one note together

In the same room, nearby collaboration connects directly with no server. Apart, cloud collaboration is end-to-end encrypted, and nobody joins without your approval.

YOURS

Your notes stay yours

Every note is a Markdown file in a folder you choose, readable by any other app. Nothing is uploaded by default, and there’s no analytics.

Free forever on one Mac.

Writing, search, history, sketches, export, nearby collaboration and AI with your own key cost nothing.

Pricing

You only pay where a server is involved: cloud collaboration, syncing between your Macs, and Douya AI with no key needed. People you invite to collaborate don’t pay.

FAQ

Where are my notes stored?

On your Mac, in “Documents / Douya Note” by default — one Markdown file per note. You can point Douya at any folder, including iCloud Drive, and sync or back it up your own way.

Does AI see my notes?

Only when you use an AI feature, and only the notes involved. With your own key, they go straight from your Mac to the provider you chose. With Douya AI, they pass through Douya’s relay to Anthropic’s Claude; the relay doesn’t store content. Notes set to “Keep from AI” are never sent, and every request is logged on your Mac.

Can Douya Cloud read my notes?

No. Cloud collaboration and sync are end-to-end encrypted: content is encrypted on your Mac before upload, and the keys live only on your and your collaborators’ devices. Even note and attachment names are scrambled on the server.

What about a new Mac?

With iCloud Keychain on, just sign in to the same account. Otherwise, confirm pairing on your old Mac, or enter your recovery code.

Is there an iPhone app?

Not yet — Mac only for now. An iPhone app is planned, with the same account and sync.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, see the refund policy.
